Plant Sevicing

We can offer maintenance contracts on existing critical plant for peace of mind manufacturing.

Often we can offer improvements to equipment, by improving through-put, increasing reliability, or reducing down-time on necessary maintenance operations. All work carried out on plant serviced by Border will be fully documented in quarterly reports, detailing the general condition of the machine, the extent of works carried out and recommendations to keep the plant fit for production.

We currently service machinery for major companies such as JCB transmissions, Automotive Products and Trelleborg Automotive (vibration management systems) and have experience in servicing systems manufactured by Marr (Guyson), Durr, MecWash, Sturtevant, Valiant Elan and Power-Wash.

Border takes great pride in its servicing and strives forward with the concept of continual improvement, keeping machines as close to their original state, and often improving functionality and reliability along the way. The following are examples of the kind of improvements that Border have made for existing customers.

• Re-creation of missing or incomplete electric or pneumatic drawings
• Manufacture and modification of fixtures
• Improvements to filtration/oil separation systems
• Addition of heater protection systems
• Component handling solutions
• Research into component cleanliness problems and other areas

Border Automation offers as standard three types of service package:

Option 1 service only;

This covers labour for 4 scheduled services on the machine per year, comprising:

• One major service
• Three quarterly health checks

Option 2 Service plus;

Service plus offers the above schedulerd service visits plus full 1 year labour cover in the event of a breakdown. Materials only will be charged where necessary.
Please note that Border Automation has a policy of offering the customer the opportunity to supply materials themselves if preferred.

Option 3 Comprehensive;

This covers all labour and materials content relating to the electro-mechanical up-keep of the machine for a year. This is particularly useful when clients want to establish predictable expenditure on a machine or installation.
